I have taught A level Biology for 18 years and have a real passion for the subject and delivering this to students in a way that can ignite this fire in them.

I have extensive knowledge of different exam boards and their expectations. Being an exam marker also means I have a good insight into common errors and areas that regularly show misconceptions.

Having taught at a local selective grammar school for a decade, I implemented current A level changes and new specifications, so I am well versed in these requirements.

I have taught AQA, OCR, Salters and SNAB at A level and AQA, OCR and Edexcel at GCSE.

For the last three years, I have been a full-time tutor and have successfully tutored more than 100 students. My aim as a tutor is to develop understanding in the subject, offer crucial advice on exam technique but most importantly enhance student confidence in their ability.
Students often seek advice on the content of their personal statements and University options. During exam results days, I try to be available to offer any support my students need in adjustment or clearing.

Experience: I have a first-class honours degree in Biological Sciences, PGCE in Secondary Science and I have taught Biology for 18 years.
My specialism is GCSE and A level Biology. I taught in a comprehensive school for six years and a girls grammar school for ten years.
I am an exam marker for three exam boards and have successfully tutored a large number of students. References can be provided if required.
