Information about Dave
I was born in Chester and grew up in Runcorn, Cheshire. I am married, for 42 years, and have 1 son. My initial teacher training was from 1973 to 1976, PE and English, at Didsbury College of Education in Manchester where I gained a teaching certificate. I moved to Worcestershire in 1978 and did a BEd (Hons) at Worcester College of Higher Education, part time, finishing that course in 1984. I retrained in Mathematics in 1986 and gained a Master of Education, again part time, in 1992 from the University of Birmingham. My main recreation is playing golf, reading and swimming.
Availability: All day Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Sunday.

Experience: When I left college, my first job was as a Housefather at Broome House Reception and Observation Centre in Didsbury. This involved the out of school care of a constantly changing group of boys who were in local authority care for a variety of reasons. My first teaching position was as part of the PE staff at Birchensale Middle School in Redditch. I was on the staff of that school from 1978 to 1991. I then moved to St John`s CE Middle School in Bromsgrove initially as senior master rising to Assistant Head before I took early retirement on medical trounds in 2010. In the course of these two jobs, I taught Maths, English, Science, French, PE, IT, Geoography, History and Art.
