I am a secondary science teacher at an outstanding secondary school. I have taught for 11 years and have tutored, very successfully, for 10 years.
I am a patient, approachable and methodical person with an absolute love for science! I am passionate about tutoring and am extremely enthusiastic about enabling students to learn. I strive to make science accessible and enjoyable for everyone, no matter what their age or ability. I understand that each individual is unique, with a different academic background, and will therefore have a preferred learning style. I use a variety of teaching techniques to suit the learning style of each individual, making tutoring a bespoke experience for each student.
From experience, I understand that students often lack confidence in their own ability and do not realise how much they already know. I`m here to help guide students, scaffold their learning and boost their confidence so that they can achieve their full potential.

My daughter is in her final year of GCSE’s and was desperate for help with General Science. Kylie has, in just a few lessons, ignited my daughter’s enthusiasm for the subject, and looks forward to her tutorials with Kylie. A wonderful friendship has been formed.

Kylie is an outstanding tutor, she is professional, organised and really engages with her pupil. She is tutoring my daughter in the run up to her GCSE mocks.
Not only has she enjoyed the sessions, she is becoming much more confident and has really increased her knowledge.
