I’m a qualified Maths Teacher (QTS) with over 10 years’ experience teaching in a mainstream secondary school, currently teaching KS3, GCSE and A-Level Mathematics. Alongside my school teaching, I’ve worked with many students through one-to-one and small group tutoring, helping them improve their understanding, confidence and exam results.

In my lessons, I quickly identify where gaps in understanding are and what’s holding a student back. From there, I go back over the key ideas in a clear, straightforward way, using examples to show exactly how to approach a problem. I don’t rush this stage — I make sure students actually understand it before we move on. I’m always checking understanding as we go, asking questions, spotting misconceptions early, and giving feedback in the moment.

Once the foundations are secure, we focus on practising exam-style questions together, building confidence and accuracy step by step. I also spend time going through exam technique so students know how to approach questions properly and avoid losing easy marks.

Every student is different, so I adapt my teaching to suit their needs — whether that’s rebuilding confidence, catching up, or aiming for the highest grades.

My aim is simple: to make maths feel clearer, less stressful, and something students can actually do well in.

Experience: I have taught and tutored a wide range of A-Level Mathematics and Further Mathematics modules over the years. This includes Core 1–4, Statistics, Mechanics, Decision Mathematics and Further Pure Mathematics modules.

As well as A-Levels, I can also support students studying equivalent qualifications, including the IB and other advanced mathematics courses.
