Information about Rhys
I am a Deputy Head of Maths at a high school in Bury and I find that I have a good rapport with the pupils that I teach. In addition to being a teacher, I am also an exam marker for Edexcel GCSE and an exam writer and marker for AQA Level 3 Mathematical Studies. This gives me a valuable insight into what is expected of pupils in their exams.
A common issue that I have found with student is that they don’t feel confident in their own ability. I try and make students aware of their own ability as well as instilling some resilience in the problems that they will need in exams.
Availability: Mon - Fri: 16:00 - 20:00
May be available for weekends upon request

Experience: I have been teaching since 2014 and have experience teaching KS3, GCSE, A-Level Maths and Level 3 Mathematical Studies.
I am currently working in a high school in Bury as a Deputy Head of Maths teaching KS3, GCSE and GCSE Further Maths. I have a detailed knowledge of the curriculum and a wide variety of resources. I also have an in-depth understanding of the common misconceptions in mathematics and how to address these to improve the mathematical ability of young people.
I offer tutoring online and in person.

My daughter has only had a few sessions with Rhys but she`s already feeling much more confident about her upcoming GCSE exam. Rhys has been really good at focusing the sessions on what my daughter wants to cover, and she`s quickly gained a better understanding of topics she was struggling with. I would definitely recommend Rhys.
