I am a qualified and effective academic tutor with over 5 years` experience both in person and online. I have led Sociology A level and taught English Literature A level in a large 6th form college, and I am an examiner for A level Sociology (AQA).

I have a demonstrated history of working with my tutees to improve their understanding, expand their knowledge, and achieve in their examinations.

I graduated from Sussex University with a BA in English Language & Literature in September 2016, and an MA in Gender Studies (Sociology) with Distinction in 2018.

I greatly enjoyed both my undergraduate and masters degree which allowed me to devote me time to equally challenging and vastly different academic disciplines. University enabled me to develop creative, analytical, and independent thought, all of which I believe are crucial to academic success and effective communication.

I take real joy in sharing my knowledge and helping others to understand the different perspectives of the world around them through education.

In 2015 I qualified as a teacher of English to learners of other languages, achieving a top 20% pass grade. As part of this training course I worked at a local college, teaching classes with learners of all different abilities, nationalities, and cultural backgrounds which was incredibly rewarding.

I am a strong believer that each student requires an individual style of learning which is why I advocate 1-1 sessions.

I am also able to provide support in writing university and job applications. I have previous experience in supporting applications for the following degrees:
Nuclear Fusion MSc; Music & Sonic Media MA; Fashion & Retail Management BA; Primary Teaching PGCE; English BA; Medical and Law School applications.
