Hi! My name`s Ashwin, and I`ve just finished studying for an MPhil in Modern British History at the University of Cambridge. During my MPhil, I specialised in histories of the emotions and of physical impairment. Before my MPhil, I studied for a BA in History at Cambridge, graduating with a Double First Class degree. For my A-Levels, I studied History, English Literature and French, earning three A* grades. I have tutored students at a range of levels since 2021; I offer GCSE and A-Level tuition in History, English Literature and French and I have also supported a prospective Oxbridge applicant in their successful application to study History at Cambridge. I believe that cultivating a positive mindset is the first step to success - curiosity, resilience and self-belief are just as important as knowledge. I recognise that every student`s abilities and needs are different; one of the many things I enjoy about tutoring is that no two lessons are the same. By offering a person-centred approach, I focus on building students` analytical skills, boosting their confidence, and mastering critical thinking and problem solving techniques.
