Information about Sophie
I recently completed my PhD in English at Birkbeck, University of London. I also hold a Distinction Level Master`s in English from the University of Cambridge and a First Class BA in English from the University of Manchester.
I have been tutoring university students in London for two and a half years. In this time, I have developed an approach that is friendly, patient and empathetic. I combine a focus on study skills and exam technique with enthusiasm and strong subject knowledge.
Every learner is different, so I tailor my teaching practice to the individual needs of each pupil. I believe that a love of learning can be infectious if tutors have the right combination of energy and patience. In addition, I am keen to foster habits that tutees can carry with them throughout their education.
