Hello! I`m a fully qualified teacher with experience teaching Biology, Chemistry and Physics at KS3 and KS4. I also have experience teaching Maths at KS3 and KS4.

My style is all about helping students understand the "why", rather than just knowing the "what". This approach helps improve memory and provides a deeper understanding that can go beyond the classroom, into the wider world. It also provides the student a back up plan for any moments in which their memory goes blank as they can logically approach any question using the "why" knowledge we would have worked on. I have ample experience in helping students feel ready for their GCSE`s through revision techniques such as practice exam questions and understanding command words.

I`m experienced teaching science in the classroom, in students homes, and remotely using platforms such as teams, google meet and zoom.

I have taught a range of pupils and can support a range of needs, such as Dyslexia and Autism, as well as stretching and challenging students. I feel I can get the best out of any student, no matter where they are starting from.

I love building trust and respect with my students and seeing them marvel at their own progress, every lesson achieving more than they thought they were capable of!

Experience: I studied Biomedical Science so my background lies within the domains of Biology and Chemistry, however I`ve loved teaching Physics at GCSE level and broadening my own expertise.

I also have experience teaching Maths up to GCSE level which is useful as there is a lot of application of Mathematical skills in science GCSE.

In terms of examination boards, I am familiar with AQA and Edexcel and have taught both at GCSE level. I do also have experience teaching Biology A Level.
