I am currently looking for work, as a Latin tutor, and have experience teaching Years 5,6,7,8,9,10, and 11. At present, I am tutoring pupils from Winchester House Prep School, in Brackley (Northants), from Summer Fields Prep School, in Oxford, and from Eaton House The Manor, in London. My area of expertise lies with Common Entrance and Scholarship, both taken in Year 8, and GCSE Language. I have just finished preparing a student for the Oundle Scholarship, and I have been tutoring on and off for the last twelve years. In this time, I have prepared a number of pupils for the Common Academic Scholarship for Felsted Public School, and a few individuals for the specialist King’s School Canterbury Scholarship and Radley Scholarship. I have also tutored a large amount of Common Entrance candidates for various independent schools, including Eton, Harrow, Radley and Marlborough, and I have prepared a number of Korean children for the Winchester Entrance.
As well as having experience teaching Years 7 and 8, I have also taught Latin to Years 5 and 6, and therefore am able to lay the foundations in preparation for the 13+ Common Entrance exam. More recently, I have been coaching two pupils from Cheltenham College for the OCR GCSE Language component.
In terms of achievement, my last five students all gained A grades last summer, in their Latin Common Entrance, having been D grade candidates, when I initially took them on, only a few months earlier.

Availability: Weekdays- days and evenings, except all day Tuesday, and Wednesday mornings

May 2004: QTS; acquired Qualified Teacher Status.
Jan 2003-Apr 2003: Private GCSE tutoring for pupil in Miami.
Sept 1998-Dec 2002: Ludgrove Prep School; Latin teacher for Years 5,6 and 7.
