Information about Farzin

2nd year medical student at St. George`s University of London, achieving 3 As in A-level Biology, Chemistry and Latin. I also achieved an A* in an Extended Project Qualification centred around medical diagnostics within gynaecology and obstetrics.

I am well versed in the medical school application process, having applied myself this prior cycle. I was an offer holder at top UK schools such as Barts and the London School of Medicine and Dentistry and St. George’s, University of London.

Being a recent applicant, I am confident in aiding you in your applications and giving you the best strategy for a successful application. Whether that be writing your statement or practicing interview skills with you.

I scored a competitive UCAT score at the 77th decile, with this being my first time of sitting the admissions exam. With my experience now, I am fully equipped to help students achieve even better and alleviate the usual anxiety that accompanies preparation.

I also have 100% interview success, having received an offer from every medical school that I reached the interview stage at. I’ve gained distinction qualifications in LAMDA Public Speaking up to a Grade 5. I have also run my school’s debate team. From this, I’ve nurtured reserved pupils and helped them find their voice. I understand how nerve-racking these interviews can be and am enthusiastic about providing you with ample preparation to help you smash them!

During my time at the school, I held an academic scholarship. I have played integral parts within my school community. For example, I fulfilled a prefect role during my sixth form years and aided in organising events throughout the academic year such as a Culture Day and Wellbeing Day.

I aided in introducing the HPQ qualification to Year 10s, alongside my Year 13 studies. I helped students improve their research skills, time management, and confidence in writing an extended project.

As a school leaver, I understand the pressures that accompany studies from GCSEs and up. I hope I can also act as a mentor for you. I am easy to contact outside of sessions and happy to support you with subject questions and general advice. I have always planned on becoming a tutor and am passionate about helping others reach their goals. I look forward to helping you achieve your grades!

Willing to travel: 3 miles

Experience: During my GCSEs, I actively helped my peers with revision and prepared resources for them to use. I understand the different ways in which people learn and am adaptable to accommodate to these.

Alongside my A-level studies, I have tutored students in IGCSE History, Mathematics, GCSE Triple Science and Religious Studies. With my help, students have seen their grades increase by many in a matter of months. Both their confidence and enjoyment of the subject have skyrocketed. I believe with the right approach and encouragement; a student can truly prosper in a short period of time.
