Information about Teresa
I have been a private tutor since 2005 after graduating with a PGCE (Primary). I use a variety of methods and resources, allowing for different learning styles, but ensure that all lessons are person-centred, motivational and fun! I re-visit topics and ensure consolidation before moving on.
I teach numeracy (KS1 - KS3) & literacy (KS1-KS4) face to face and remotely. I also support students with GCSE English Language and Literature curriculum and Drama, helping students to improve writing and analysis of text. I can also support students in other humanties subjects where extended writing is needed.
I am a Specialist Teacher and Assessor for children with dyslexia (diagnosed or suspected) and other SPLD. I can also provide screening (less detailed than a diagnostic) which can provide more information about a student`s learning. I am also qualified to assess and teach children with Dyscalculia/Maths SLPD. I tend to teach children who are struggling with their work or they may just be behind in their learning and many that are SEN.
In addition I can help children with SATS revision, Common Entrance Exams, Study Skills, Touch Typing and creative writing support. I also teach adults.
Availability: I am available most days after 4pm plus holidays (all day). I am based in Lower Moor
