Jamie

My name is Jamie and I am 20 years old. From a young age I have always enjoyed problem solving hence my two main academic passions are Mathematics and Engineering. Outside of the classroom I love sports! I am a fan of boxing, I play rugby at a recreational level and I play in The University of Bristol Tennis Team. I am also a keen traveller having trekked the foothills of the Himalayas, helped to rebuild schools in northern in India and develop the infrastructure of sustainable water sources of rural villages in Nepal and backpacked the length of Vietnam.
In my time volunteering in my local primary school and running hygiene awareness sessions in Nepal, I found I have a real passion for teaching, a passion which I plan to develop going forward.
As I am a student I offer very cheap rates!

Availability: I`m currently on placement, so I am free on weekdays on the evening and on weekends during the day.

Experience: I am currently studying Engineering Design at the University of Bristol, I achieved A*`s at both Mathematics GCSE and A-level as well as an A in Further Maths A level. During my Gap Year I spent 6 months volunteering my time at my local primary school to teach maths to children or all abilities from the ages of 7-11. I am a registered STEM ambassador and an IET Diamond Jubilee Scholar.
