Information about Liam
I am an experienced and enthusiastic math`s tutor. I have been tutoring for seven years and have helped students succeed whatever their background and ability in mathematics. I firmly believe that anyone can learn and be successful in math`s.
I have achieved a first-class mathematics degree with honor`s and I have completed the PGCE in secondary mathematics. I am currently a math`s teacher and I have given university lectures to PGCE students on teaching math`s for mastery. I am also involved with delivering CPD for the math`s department at the school I am currently working at. I am also involved with delivering a bespoke course called Direct Instruction to students who struggle with math`s.
Mathematics is a part of everyday life and I am fond of the fact that no matter where you were born or what language you speak, math`s is universally understood. It is the language of the universe, nature and how we understand the world around us.
I have always enjoyed Math`s and I aspire to help others understand and enjoy it as well. It is rewarding to see the delight on someone’s face once they have grasped the concept of what you are trying to teach and to know that you have helped someone gain a greater understanding on something they were once struggling with.
In my seven years of tutoring I have only ever had positive feedback. Students have said that I am encouraging, patient and great at explaining different concepts in a variety of ways. I am able to adapt my teaching style to suit the student and find what works for them. Usually, I explain the concept in more detail to develop more understanding and then going through examples to apply the theory. I usually ask for questions to be answered as practice makes perfect.
I love tutoring and teaching and I look forward to hearing from you.
Availability: After school Monday and Thursday 5.30pm to 7.00pm.
Saturday and Sunday mornings from 8.00am to 11.00am.
Willing to travel: 12 miles
Experience: Tutoring professionally for seven years and have had approximately 4 years previous to these tutoring friends and family. I have tutored students from a variety of backgrounds and love the work and seeing students progress.
I have been teaching mathematics for 4 years.

Liam has been tutoring my son in GCSE maths, and I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a Maths tutor.
My son always looked forward to his tutoring session; Liam is friendly, easy to talk to, very good at explaining things, flexible, well prepared for each session, provided revision notes to help with particular subjects he was finding hard and never rushed a session.
I also firmly believe that Liam has helped increase my sons grade potential and he has certainly helped his confidence. Thank you Liam!

Since starting my tutor sessions with Liam, my confidence and knowledge has improved drastically. Being someone who suffers from dyscalculia I had a fear of maths, and never imagined I would be able to improve at all, let alone achieving my end goal, which was to pass my level 2 functional skills maths.
I can now say after 6 months of Liam`s guidance, knowledge and patience I have passed my NVQ Level 2 maths and am a fully qualified dental nurse.
I can honestly say I would not have been able to achieve this if it wasn`t for Liam. Liam is extremely patient and made me feel at ease during every lesson,he is very organised and planned all my sessions accordingly, he was always punctual and accommodating when I had to change my sessions with him.
I am truly grateful for all the help and support Liam has given me and I would most definitely recommend him, if he helped me achieve my maths he can help anyone!
