I offer tuition for: GCSE English language and literature; A level literature; general English support for all ages. I am an experienced tutor, able to provide skilled subject knowledge and an understanding of what exam boards are looking for to help students excel. Friendly and approachable, I always aim to boost confidence along with targeting the specific needs of each student. I work face to face or online.
Availability: Monday to Friday, some weekend availability

Going into his final year our sons grades are not looking good. Contacted Ros who managed to fit us in, we have only had two lessons so far with her but these will continue in the next academic year. Ros understood our son, reassured him in his work, and followed up on his work. We feel lucky to have found a teacher that can help our son articulate himself, helping him to progress in the coming year. Many thanks Ros !

Ros stepped up to tutor my daughter at short notice when others on this site would not, even though she has no shortage of pupils. Beware tutors here who boast achieving across the board grade nines etc. because it probably just means they turn down anyone who they think might bring down their average! In a few short months Ros has helped my daughter achieve probably two grades more than might otherwise have occurred. She has been kind, enthusiastic and inspiring, and has been very flexible when on occasion we needed to move the lesson slot. Highly recommended!
