Information about Lindsaye
My name is Lindsaye. I live in Hereford with my husband and two teenage children. I adore maths and it is my aim to bring a sense of fun and enthusiasm to the subject in order that every child can achieve. My work with your child will start from where they are, from their needs - emotionally and educationally, providing practical activities and games, as well as more formal written activities supporting their school work including exam papers for KS2 SATs and GCSE Foundation and Higher Levels. This is a vocation for me, I am not doing this as a second job. I firmly believe in what I am doing and dedicate myself to each child`s progress.
Availability: I have some availability during the day and in the evenings at the moment.
Willing to travel: 5 miles
Experience: I qualified as a teacher back in 1992 and have worked at a variety of schools across different age ranges since then. However, a few years ago, I grew disillusioned with whole class teaching, as in many cases it is no longer able to support the individual in the ways that they need. I realised I could feel far more fulfilled and provide a far better service by working one to one.

My daughter is already feeling more confident about the forthcoming exams and enjoying Maths once again because of the excellent tuition Lindsaye is providing.

Lindsaye has taught my Yr 6 son maths for the last academic year. He was floundering at school, having difficulty understanding whole sections of the math syllabus. Lindsaye has been brilliant at taking the time to progress through the topics at a speed that suits him, introducing methodologies that he can understand and use when in class at school. Where he was previously becoming very upset and feeling like a failure during school lessons and shying away from his homework completely, he now has the confidence and self belief to persevere. He does not always get it right but now knows that he can get it right, that the understanding is within his capability and with repetition and practice he will get there. The support Lindsaye has given to my son has been invaluable in preparing him for the transition to secondary school and I cannot recommend her highly enough. thank you Lindsaye.

Lindsaye is very pro-active, she recognised my daughters weaknesses very quickly and confidence very quickly improved, she enjoys her lessons with lindsaye very much.
