Information about Ben
Head of physics at local outstanding school with 10 years of teaching and tutoring experience. I discovered a passion for teaching after founding a Thai Boxing club whilst at University. On completing my Masters in Geophysics, I trained as a science teacher, and am now Head of Physics at an outstanding secondary school in west London.
I offer GCSE, AS and A-level Physics tutoring for all exam boards and IB, and help with preparation for the British Physics Olympiad.
My approach is adapted to the needs of each individual student. I love to use a variety of methods whilst tutoring and applying the physics to real life situations and analogies the student can relate to. For all students, I will provide a number of different ways of thinking about each question with the goal to develop a deeper understanding of each topic far beyond simple fact recall. My tutees learn not only content, but also the skills they need to improve their independent study and methods to help solve more advanced physics problems.
