Information about Matthew
I graduated from the University of Sheffield in 2016 with a 2.1 Honours degree in Economics.
My course covered a wide range of highly mathematical concepts including: algebra, functions, differential calculus, integration, constrained optimisation and matrix algebra.
I also studied statistical methods for economics which included: collection and presentation of data, descri ptive statistics, probability, statistical inference, correlation and regression.
Availability: Monday - Friday - From 6:30pm
Saturday and Sunday - 9am - 6pm
Willing to travel: 3 miles
Experience: Since graduating from the University of Sheffield in 2016 with a degree in Economics, I have managed a wide range of clients from different academic backgrounds to help them with their studies.
My tutoring specialisms are Maths and Economics.
In all cases, each student`s grades have increased.

Matt has been an excellent A level tutor for our son. He’s so enthusiastic, knowledgeable and friendly. Our son’s confidence started to grow from the first session. Sadly he won’t be taking the exam this year now, but I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Matt or have him again if our son decides to take the exam next year.

After only a few sessions with Matt our son improved his grades from D to B. Matt is very enthusiastic - extremely happy with the progress so far.Recommended!

Matt provided maths tuition for our son Joseph in the lead up to his GCSE exams. We found Matt to be very pleasant and was able to put our son at ease immediately. Feedback from Joseph was always positive and after each session thought he`d improved and his confidence grew. The end result was our son ended with a GCSE pass with higher markings than we initially expected allowing him to gain his place on the course he wanted at Runshaw college. I cant thank Matt enough as without his tutoring both myself and Joseph weren`t confident of achieving the grade needed. I would recommend Matt very highly especially if you have a child with low confidence as he will immediately put them at ease. Thanks Matt
