Lesson Information : I have successfully been tutoring KS5 maths for a number of years and find that pupils work really successfully as a group. I am advanced skills and love working with a younger age range of pupils as I find them really motivated to learn. I feel my secondary school experience is a real advantage when tutoring at KS2 as I am able to successfully bridge the gap between what is expected at both key stages. I can successfully tutor in group sizes of up to 4 from home and use a local primary school when tutoring in sizes above this. This year I have the option to use the facilities of a local independent school for larger group tuition. The cost of tuition is dependent on the size of the group, length of the session and location - all of which can be negotiated.

Lesson Information : I have been successfully tutoring A-level chemistry for a number years. I am head of chemistry at a local school and am happy to boast that last year my department achieved an ALPs score of 3, meaning we achieved nationally towards the top 25% of the grades for chemistry nationally. As head of chemistry I have an excellent knowledge of the chemistry curriculum and the skills required to be successful. I also am heavily involved in coursework and last year was able to secure 7 out of 10 A grades in the coursework within my dept. I am advanced skills trained and I feel this really adds value to my tutoring ability, enabling me to be able to engage all types of learners and being skilled with a number of tricks. I can successfully tutor in group sizes of 2-4 from home but larger numbers are taught at a local primary school. During Easter half term I run a 3-5 day revision course (location:local primary school), and this was extremely successful last year and testimonials can indeed be issued upon request.
