I am an adaptable, flexible and committed Physics graduate with a BA in Natural Sciences (Physics) from the University of Cambridge and a MSc in Theoretical Physics/Astrophysics from Queen Mary University of London, now a PhD candidate at the University of Cambridge, hoping to develop the foundations to pursue a career in academia and research. I have a wide range of IT competencies, as well as strong analytical and communication skills; being able to speak fluent English, German and Tamil. Through my diverse roles in industry, retail and tutoring, I have adapted to many work environments and been a member of a variety of multidisciplinary teams.

Experience: I have gained 9 years of experience as a private tutor, where I have supported students to prepare for 11+, 13+, GCSE and A-Level exams

At 11+ and 13+, I have successfully helped students gain admission to some of the leading grammar and independent schools in my area, including Sutton Grammar, Tiffin`s Boys & Girls, Whitgift School, Trinity School of John Whitgift.

At KS3, GCSE and A-Level, I have extensive experience supporting children preparing for exams in all major exam boards, including Edexcel, AQA and OCR. My students regularly exceed their predicted grades and go on to study their subjects at higher levels.

APPROACH TO TEACHING

As a teacher I focus primarily on the understanding of course material. My approach is to help students to engage with the course material and establish a thorough understanding, and then use this as a strong foundation for examination preparation, where I provide my students with the techniques they require to attain top marks. My teaching style hopes to:

> help students build a firm understanding of key concepts

> use positive reinforcement and encouragement to get the best engagement from my students, and

> build students` confidence and passion for the subjects they are receiving teaching for
