My name is Joe. I hold a Masters in Science from Newcastle University and a PGCE from Bath University. I am a chemistry teacher with 7 years experience and a proven track record at GCSE and A-Level.

I like to make my lessons engaging and use a range of activities to prepare my students for their final exams. I have experience with the AQA, OCR and Edexcel exam boards at GCSE, IGCSE and A-Level.

I am a passionate advocate for my subject. I love communicating the importance of Science, in particular Chemistry, and relish the challenge of making it relevant to each individual student in a dynamic online learning environment.

I believe that every student can succeed in Science and therefore have high expectations for standards of work. I work hard to quickly build rapport with a student so as to establish trust and to create a supportive environment in which students feel they can make progress.

My lessons are planned to foster and develop students’ interest, and I am always looking to enhance my lessons to maintain curiosity and give students a sense of anticipation when they log in.

Experience: 7 Years Post PGCE across AQA, OCR and EdExcel exam boards. I also have international experience and can support EAL science learners.
