I am a fully qualified ex science teacher, with 9 years teaching experience in a variety of schools. I hold a PGCE and DBS check, and previously mentored and coached other teachers. I also held a head of GCSE chemistry TLR. I currently offer tuition in Biology, Chemistry and Physics at KS3 and KS4. I offer Biology and physics to A-level standard.

How online tuition with me works:

2. I schedule a zoom meeting
3. You join the zoom meeting
4. I share my screen with the student, showing a PowerPoint with the exact same set up as a normal science lesson, filled with engaging information and tasks. I talk the student through the PowerPoint and work, stopping to offer personalised feedback and provide the necessary support.

Availability: Evenings during the week, weekends and school holidays.

Experience: I have been teaching science at GCSE and A level for 9 years and have excellent planning skills and well-structured lessons that integrate the use of a variety of resources to cater for all learners. I always display differentiated learning objectives so that students are aware of what they are progressing towards. As a previous Head of Chemistry for KS3-KS4, I developed an effective programme of study with additional PowerPoint resources for the new GCSE’s which all members of the department used. My classroom focus is not solely on attainment, but personalised achievement and improvement. Within any group that I teach, mixed ability or not, I strive to adapt lessons for every individual.
