Information about Saskia
I completed my BA in History at the University of Cambridge (Murray Edwards College) in June 2015, and am available for part-time tutoring, primarily at GCSE and A-Level.
Having taken A-Levels in English Literature (A*), History (A*), French (A*) and History of Art (A), I am looking to tutor students in English (Literature and Language) and History in particular.
Please contact me for details of specific courses and areas of study.
Availability: As of December 2023, I am unfortunately not taking on new students. I will update my availability once I am able to commit to sessions once again!
I offer online tuition through Zoom, Skype or FaceTime. In my experience, online tuition is wonderful for many students, allowing a lot of flexibility in terms of fitting tutoring sessions around other commitments, as well as the chance to use digital tools - including shared documents - to hone essays or work through past papers together.
Willing to travel: Home Only
Experience: I have six years` experience in tutoring GCSE and A-Level English Literature and History to Year 9 - 13 students in Berkshire and abroad, both through Tutor Hunt and a leading London-based agency. I also spent six months (Oct 2017 - March 2018) teaching English to adults and teenagers in Sri Lanka, leading both Intermediate Grammar and Conversation classes.
Having studied History at Cambridge, I am also able to offer guidance on university applications for History.
I am patient, passionate about my subjects and focused on tailoring lessons to the needs of each individual student, making learning as engaging as possible whilst building students` knowledge and confidence.

Great interaction and focus, well prepared and brilliant communication skills.
Two sixteen year old girls tutored by Saskia enthralled and from, in the past, studying dates now have a feel for history..

I would recommend Saskia as she`s extremely professional, knows her subject very well and is very good at tutoring. My son was very confident going into his English & English literature GSCE`s after a few sessions with Saskia

Saskia is a wonderful tutor, my daughters grades have already improved in the few weeks of tuition. Saskia has a good understanding of the current GCSE texts, and a wealth of experience in essay writing. Couldn`t be happier.
