Information about Ravi
Hi! My name is Ravi and I`m a 5th year medical student at UCL, who is able to offer tuition in GCSE and A Level maths, biology and chemistry. I am really passionate about medicine and love learning about the various physiological concepts. Subjects such as biology and chemistry are filled with underlying concepts that need to be understood for the subject to be mastered. I wish to help students really get a good understanding of these in order to help them strive towards the top A* grade. Going above and beyond the specification is very important and something I have done through various competitions such as Biology and Chemistry Olympiads achieving bronze awards.
I have recently sat the new reformed A level exams in biology, chemistry and physics and know just how difficult they can be to prepare for, but with a sound knowledge and the correct exam technique they are no problem whatsoever; something which I will help my students with in all the sciences and maths. I have shown this through achieving 3A*s and an A in my A Levels (including chemistry, biology, maths and EPQ). Time management is crucial, especially in GCSEs due to the sheer volume of subjects, but having struck the correct work-play balance to thus achieve 14A*s, I feel I can pass on extra guidance to students to help in achieving those top grades.
Since I have now embarked upon my chosen career in medicine, I know exactly how strenuous the application process is. I was fortunate to receive offers from all 4 of the medical schools in London (UCL, Imperial, Kings, Barts) that I applied to, and so I am able to mentor students to progress throughout all stages of their medicine applications including the personal statement, UCAT, BMAT and interviews.
Availability: I am available after 5pm on the weekdays and anytime after 12 during weekends. I can offer tuition both online and in-person.
Willing to travel: 10 miles
Experience: 6 years of tutoring experience in biology, chemistry, maths and physics with over 100 happy students and 1200+ hours taught. Alongside private tuition, I also teach classes online covering numerous topics in both Biology and Chemistry with about 250 students viewing each session and have received excellent feedback.

Ravi did an excellent job of explaining GCSE chemistry to my daughters.
