Information about Jill
My name is Jill.
I have a B.Sc in Biochemistry, M.Sc in Chemical Education and a Post Graduate Certificate in Education.
In Mainstream school I taught Chemistry up to A-level, plus GCSE.
I worked for 15 years in Home Education delivering GCSE Science, Maths and ICT.
For the past 7 years I have been Coordinator of Science and Maths at a PRU.
So I have extensive experience of one to one tuition with all of the patience this requires. I love to be able to involve students with practical work where possible and am great at finding alternative ways to explain and illustrate difficult concepts.
I find that having a sense of humour and love of the subjects allows me to inspire students to both understand and enjoy their learning.
Availability: Evenings and some weekend times by arrangement

Jill is a wonderful lady and always turns up with a smile on her face. She always finds alternative ways to explain aspects of A level chemistry that I was struggling with. I asked many questions and she answered them all thoroughly until I understood. She wasn`t only a wonderful tutor but has become a great friend too and I wouldn`t have achieved an A in A level chemistry without her.

Jill is a fantastic tutor. She is so supportive and explains everything in a way that is easily understandable. I needed support to brush up on my maths in order to pass my QTS skills test. Before I saw Jill I was only getting a couple of answers right!, but, with Jill`s help I passed my test and felt so much more confident with my maths skills. Jill always came prepared to sessions with lots of different resources and online activities. I couldn`t recommend Jill enough to anyone needing support with their maths, her calm personality really puts you at ease and makes you feel confident in your own abilities. I don`t think I would have passed my test without her help.
