Hello! A bit about me - I am bilingual I learnt Spanish when my parents moved to Spain as a child. I passionately believe there is a huge difference between knowing Spanish, teaching Spanish and teaching Spanish in an easy way to learn, understand and inspire, (I always strive to achieve the latter.)

Availability: I offer all tutoring from my home due to time constraints, however I’m more than happy for parents to kick back and relax in my living room while their child has their lesson, or, pop to a supermarket during the lesson (4 nearby)

The first lesson is designed to understand your child`s ability and support needed and so is free to to ensure you are happy with the support I can offer.

Experience: I have a lot of experience in Spanish tutoring and I am very confident in teaching the new GCSE Spanish specification. I work for the AQA and Edexcel exam boards alongside being a classroom teacher. I think this is essential for the new style examinations, which, many teachers still find difficult to grasp. I currently work in an Outstanding Secondary School which is also a teaching school and world class school (one of less than 30 in the UK.) To date, I have privately tutored 17 students, all of whom have achieved a grade 6 or higher, many students beginning on a grade 3 or lower. In the 2019 exams 50% of my students achieved grades 8 and 9! I am extremely successful in supporting students to exceed expectations in exams but in a way which is easy to understand. I understand and appreciate that Spanish isn`t easy for everyone, and, having learnt it as a teenager myself, I am able to explain it in a way students can understand it better. I create songs, rhythms and even youtube videos to help students` memory for the more difficult concepts to grasp.

I offer a very fun approach to learning which is what I feel is the key to success in language learning. For GCSE students, I have a wealth of resources I use and pay a lot for, many of which most schools don’t have access to. Lessons are catered around your child`s abilities and confidence and will focus on content but also skill. After years of thorough exam dissection and analysis I can provide an in-depth knowledge of how to be most successful in the GCSE exams.

I heavily re-invest money earned from tutoring to provide unique resources to achieve the very best results. Please note your child will be given (paid by myself) subscri ptions to Quizlet, Thisislanguage and thelanguage gym which are premium, high impact online platforms. This is in addition to resources I create myself, some of which are used in schools nationwide.
