Information about Karl
I hold a First Class Master`s degree in Physics from Oxford. From my years of experience teaching online, in person and in the classroom, I have found my students have always achieved the most when they actually enjoy the subject and tutorials. I therefore try to share my passion and enthusiasm for Physics and Maths as much as possible! I can also help with university applications (especially preparation for PAT and Oxford interviews) and I`m always happy to give handy hints if you message me with questions you are puzzling over outside of lesson time.
Availability: Available for lessons at most normal times!
Willing to travel: 3 miles
Experience: I have been tutoring over the last 6 years via Tutorhunt (mainly in person but some online). I have worked with a range of abilities, from students just trying to pass exams all the way up to Oxbridge applications. I also have experience working in the classroom as I volunteered at a school teaching extracurricular maths classes. My experience working with students runs beyond just the academic - I organised and ran two summer camps (each with around 80 participants) as well as being a Senior Mentor with the NCS summer course for a month and a House Parent at Discovery Summer. The training and experience gained from all this should hopefully result in engaging and helpful tutoring.
