Physics graduate at the University Of Exeter, and want to spend my time teaching.

I always have, and always will love teaching anything (that I understand) to anyone, and i am also equally fond of being taught about anything from anyone.

I am not above my students, and I am not surprised by how much I learn from my students, whilst they learn from me.

My first session will be free if you gain nothing from it, and will consist of an assessment of the student, getting to know each other, and outlining our goals.

With previous students, I have spent much time on writing up formal notes to give to students based on what has been learnt in sessions. This way students don`t have to take notes in sessions, and can listen and interact instead. I also give students contact information if they want, so they can text/email me questions whilst I am not around. I will bring my own textbooks incase they are of use, and a whiteboard.

Students are more than welcome to bring their friends along to sessions, so long as they require help on the same topics/subjects. Keep in mind however, the larger the class, the more diluted the learning is likely to be. However, having 2 students in a session can actually be very useful. The cost for "guests" is the same.

I really believe in working smart, as opposed to working hard. This way, the same amount of learning can be achieved more effortlessly, and as a consequence, I really believe I can get my students higher grades than they were likely aiming for. There`s no reason why they can`t get A*`s, just because they`ve been encouraged to think that. I will teach my learning principles in sessions, it will be an integral aspect of my "course".

I`ll teach students to truly understand concepts intuitively, and the grades will follow naturally. I refuse to teach any kind of learning cheat methods, or memorisation techniques, or learning exam patterns etc, because this is boring for me, and useless for the student. The most advanced concepts boil down to the simplest of physical pictures, that anyone could understand.
