I am an experienced teacher who has taught students from secondary through to Higher Education. My teaching approach is student-centered and aims to support the student as much as possible in reaching their potential. I have over 10 years experience teaching privately and students whom I have supported report enjoying my lessons and feeling supported.

Experience: I have extensive experience of supporting Year 11 students undertaking GCSE English Language and Literature including successfully supporting students to achieve grades 2-3 points higher than predicted.
I equally have over 12 years experience working in Further and Higher Education teaching ESOL, EFL, English for Academic Purposes, as well study skills to support critical writing, analysis and research skills. I currently work in Higher Education where I support learners in understanding how to tackle assignments, how to use research skills as well as developing the critical thinking skills needed to enhance their subject knowledge. The support I provide allows students to develop the tools they need to study effectively and efficiently.

Ugo is an very patient and effective tutor. She not only helped my daughter prepare for her GCSEs, but also reignited her interest in English.
