I have extensive teaching experience in terms of age-range, ability, environment and contexts; and a broad knowledge background across the arts, humanities and social sciences (derived from my interdisciplinary first and second degrees). I am able to encourage young people through an active, participatory approach, creating a supportive and structured environment within which I build on their enthusiasms, setting appropriately demanding standards. Committed to working on the basis of a genuine concern for all my students, I am able to command their respect even in difficult circumstances.

Availability: I have just finished teaching Sociology A Level Sociology at East Sussex College so now have good availability to teach both in person and online.

Willing to travel: 30 miles

Experience: I have taught in primary and secondary schools and also as an A level tutor of Philosophy, Politics and Sociology in FE.
