I am a fully qualified (PGCE), CRB checked science teacher, with 17 years experience teaching years 7-13 full time in schools. I also hold a Master of Teaching (MTeach) degree, which enabled me to expand on, and apply knowledge of how young people learn and how to optimise this.

I tutor all sciences at KS2, 3 & 4, and have a Biology specialism at A Level (KS5). I am experienced at teaching AQA, OCR, WJEC and Edexcel syllabi. I will also support with general study skills, and the most effective revision techniques.

I am a current and experienced expert examiner for AQA and Edexcel(Pearson), and am also an experienced moderator for science coursework. It is very common for pupils to have a good bank of knowledge, but not to achieve as well in exams as they except. Teachers in schools and colleges have a huge amount of content to deliver, and not much time in which to do so. Exam strategy, approach and understanding is not commonly taught in schools, due to time constraints. I am able to help with this, as my experience as an examiner gives me direct insight into strategies that achieve exam success.

I am passionate about science and the world we live in, science is life! I also believe and have seen first hand how education can improve outcomes and future options for young people, and I have a proven track record of helping pupils to achieve success.
