Information about Ana
Experienced freelance player, I`ve graduated from the Royal Academy of Music in 2015 then I`ve been awarded a scholarship to study on the Orchestral Artistry course at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. I am very passionate about the bassoon and would love to share my enthusiasm about the instrument with others!
Availability: Very flexible. Contact me to discuss.
Willing to travel: 20 miles
Experience: My recent commitments have involved playing in side by side projects with the London Symphony Orchestra, Aurora and BBC Symphony Orchestra. I`ve recently toured India with the European Concert Orchestra and China with the National Symphony Orchestra. In London I enjoy playing with London Firebird Orchestra, Newham Philharmonic and Young Musicians Symphony Orchestra, to name a few, as well as being part of a variety of chamber music ensembles. As a teenager I was part of the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain and played at all major UK venues, including the BBC Proms.
I started teaching bassoon and piano privately in 2009 and since then I`ve had students of various ages between 6 and 39.
I`ve been part of London Symphony Orchestra`s Family Open Days workshops, introducing the bassoon and leading creative work.
In June 2016 I completed a placement at Archway Early Years Centre where I worked with children as young as 2.
With the charity London Music Masters I`ve done bassoon presentations to Years 4-6.
I am part of The Messengers, a group of professional musicians working with adult clients of St. Mungo`s Homelessness charity. We`ve performed our compositions on the main stage at Field Day festival 2016.
