Information about Ian
I`ve always had a scientific mind across my academic and professional career. Throughout my undergraduate studies in Biomedical Engineering, postgraduate studies in Medical Physics and training and working as a paramedic, I have enjoyed learning novel concepts and grasped new topics quickly. This has led to me studying as a graduate entry medical student.
As a medical professional, my instinct is to help others. As a tutor, this is paramount to helping students not only pass their exams but enjoy and truly understand the subject. My own teachers throughout school instilled a drive to question and investigate the subject matter further than the syllabus, and to further explore the subject in my own time.
Availability: I am available evenings and weekends, at relatively short notice. There is also the option of some weekday times, but these will be very short notice.
Willing to travel: 15 miles
Experience: I have been fortunate to mentor and tutor several adult learners through my work as a paramedic - both new starters to the service, but also paramedic students from higher education institutes. This has led to me gaining a postgraduate qualification in Facilitating Learning and Mentorship.
During school, college and university, I always helped out my friends and course colleagues with areas of difficulty and enjoyed discovering new ways of approaching problems for myself.

Ian is a very likeable young man. He connects brilliantly with our 15 year old son, who`s confidence & engagement in Science and Maths, after only a few sessions has improved. Would definitely recommend him.
