I`m Carmen, a Biology tutor with a deep passion for the life sciences and a genuine commitment to helping students reach their potential. My approach goes beyond rote learning — I aim to give students a real understanding of biology that makes both studying and exams feel far more manageable.
I hold a degree in Health Sciences with a special interest in human anatomy, physiology, and nutrition, and I recently completed an MRes in Nutrition and Metabolic Disorders at the University of Roehampton — so the science I teach is rooted in active, up-to-date academic experience.
Availability: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday

Experience: Alongside seven years of A-Level Biology tutoring, I have three years of experience teaching Life Sciences at university level, working with students across a wide range of abilities and learning styles.

I started having lessons with Carmen in January to help me improve my grades for my A-level exams in May and June (OCR A Biology) and she has been absolutely amazing. Biology was my weakest subject, so I didn`t know much of the content and often had to ask her to go over the same topic multiple times. I never felt any judgement and she took the time to explain it all in-depth every time, checking to see if I understood. She has a vast variety of resources which she also sent me to work on in my own time between lessons and as-well-as all of this, she is also a lovely person. I would highly recommend Carmen to anyone looking for a biology tutor. I am still awaiting my A-level results but in my mocks and practice assessments, I improved by two grades since my lessons with Carmen.
