I am passionate about biology and aim to improve students` grades by providing them with a better understanding of the subject. Helping with the core knowledge, application of biological concepts and exam strategies.
I obtained a degree in Health Sciences with a special interest in human anatomy, physiology and nutrition. I recently completed an MRes degree in Nutrition and Metabolic disorders at the University of Roehampton. I also have 3 years of experience in tutoring Life sciences at University level. While I have been tutoring A-level Biology for over 6 years now.
I have experience in tutoring students from different exam boards (AQA, OCR) and adapting my teaching accordingly.
Availability: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday

I started having lessons with Carmen in January to help me improve my grades for my A-level exams in May and June (OCR A Biology) and she has been absolutely amazing. Biology was my weakest subject, so I didn`t know much of the content and often had to ask her to go over the same topic multiple times. I never felt any judgement and she took the time to explain it all in-depth every time, checking to see if I understood. She has a vast variety of resources which she also sent me to work on in my own time between lessons and as-well-as all of this, she is also a lovely person. I would highly recommend Carmen to anyone looking for a biology tutor. I am still awaiting my A-level results but in my mocks and practice assessments, I improved by two grades since my lessons with Carmen.
