I am and enthusiastic and patient tutor of GCSE and some A level maths modules (Pure Core 1-4, Mechanics 1 and Decision 1).

When I was young, maths was always my favourite school subject but I didn`t always find it easy. There were lots of topics that I had to struggle with to get the hang of. I always preferred knowing something from first principles rather than relying on memory and I try to ensure that my students get the background of a topic rather than just the end product.

Although I`m not young I do get on very well with people of all ages. I`m not always very serious but I do treat my subject with respect and hope to engage students so that they too grow to love it as much as I do.

I haven`t always been a teacher. I used to be a computer programmer but it`s much nicer working with humans than it is with machines.

Availability: I teach mainly after school during the week but I can work during the day.
