I have a BA Hons (2:1) in Modern Languages, a PGCE, an MEd in Applied Linguistics and an RSA diploma in TEFL. I have been teaching for over 30 years in both secondary and further education in the UK, Germany, Spain and the UAE. Having studied, lived and worked in Germany for more than seven years, I am completely fluent in German but also communicate well in French too. Besides teaching, I also worked as a translator for a publishing house in Dresden, East Germany for two years and my knowledge of life in the GDR comes in very useful when studying A level set texts such as Goodbye Lenin and Das Leben der Anderen. I now teach entirely online and I specialise in preparing students for their GCSE or A level exams. I also work freelance as a tutor for an international homeschooling organisation. I am familiar with AQA, Edexcel, Educas and Cambridge examination boards and have also helped students to prepare for their Scottish Higher exams. Experience: I have been teaching for since 1983. I have experience teaching both German (beginners, GCSE,`A` level and Business German), French (beginners and GCSE) and EFL (Cambridge KET, PET, First Certificate, Advanced Certificate, Proficiency, IELTS & Business English.) I have taught teenagers and adults of all levels and nationalities in the UK, Germany, Spain and the UAE.
