I am passionate about Art.

As well as the Arts my passion is for people, I love working with peopl and developing methods that bring out the best out of individuals by enhancing their self esteem as well as technical ability.

My background is as a Set and Costume Designer and as a Painter. I have worked in cinema and theatre, but I also participated in painting and drawing group exhibitions.

I can help you develop many creative skills but also practice through technique, exercises and inspirational guidance.

What I offer:

Technique - how to work through various exercises to improve your technical skills in drawing and painting.

Life and expressive drawing - how to develop your skills and see where your passion lies.

Study from artists, past and present - take inspiration and learn through the brushes of others.

Gallery visits - with discussion and sketching.

2014 Co-founder and Art Teacher, “The Walkabout Family”-
In Academia Walkabout, one of the projects by The Walkabout Family, we worked proactivity through arts and the creation of a performance based on music. The pilot involved 2 groups totaling 19 pupils aged 9 to 18. For 17 months we presented 16 shows in local schools, local city and out (FATT- didgeridoo festival).
As a co-founder: Working as part of a team with fellow teachers ensuring that the project works effectively. Maintaining a interactive learning environment. Keeping records of sessions and operating media dispersion.
As an art teacher: Showing how to create a piece of art, how to present it to audience and understand feedbacks. Setting clear targets for pupils. Inspiring to grow creative expression and motivating their critical analysis about their work and themselves.

2013, August - Workshop Co-leader, ”Oficinas Musicais Criativas”- During 5 days in residence with 12 pupils (aged 8 to 12) we prepared a show that included music, theater and scenography making based on the group`s experiences around the Fatima Apparitions subject.
As a teacher: Suporting and supervising during all creative time and after activities. Showing pupils that visual aids help to ensure that all theater artists involved in the production understand each other`s work. Inspiring pupils to desire and wonder by showing how arts can create a connection between people and reframe their ways of thinking.

2011/2012 - Volunteer Art Teacher, Yupi, Portugal-As a volunteer: For 12 months worked with 3 groups, coordinating their duties in social center and also at a volunteers office.
As an art teacher: Administrated 7 visual arts projects with big groups of pupils. Assisted in Easter, Christmas and Summer camps with short activities for children of all of ages.
