Hello!
I am a qualified teacher and have graduated from the University of Nottingham with a degree in English and History and PGCE.

I completed all of my GCSE education in London at Westminster Academy and then stayed on to study the International Baccalaureate. I studied 6 subjects in Sixth Form including English, History and Film Studies at higher level and Maths, Biology and Spanish at standard level.

I love teaching and tutoring younger students and watching my tutees developments as they improve over time with my help by finding out what are each individuals strengths and areas for improvement in each subject area.

I would be available to tutor in English and History to A Level or equivalent and maths, biology and Sociology until GCSE level. In my GCSE, I attained full marks in both English Language and Sociology with my exam scri pts being published as examples on the Edexcel website, making me confident that I would be a useful and helpful tutor. Additionally, I worked as a tutor during sixth form where I helped underachieving students in younger years to reach their full potential with one particular student improving from a grade C in English to attaining an A in his final exam.

To ensure that I help each student as best I can, I will initially find out what their learning style is and tailor sessions to their individual needs. I will also use a variety of techniques as I think that variety is key to enjoying your studies. The fact that I have taken my exams not long ago means that I fully understand what is needed in each subject that I will tutor in.

I can be flexible and work around timings that suit you.

Experience: In London I was a regular babysitter and therefore have lots of experience with children from 6 months to 11 years old in this kind of setting. Furthermore, I did a three month work experience at a local primary school and helping at the homework club. Additionally, I am part of the Literacy Support Project at my university where students go to help increase the reading ages of children and increase their confidence in Literacy.

I also have experience in secondary schools as I had a placement in a secondary school as part of the literacy support project and was an active member of the mentor and tutoring programme at my school where we helped any student to further their potential and achieve the best grades that they can.
