I am a practising solicitor with over 17 years experience. I have been teaching law on a part time basis since 2011. I have a great deal of relevant, practical experience and knowledge. My areas of practice include civil and criminal litigation, family, wills and probate, conveyancing, consumer and public law.
I have recently obtained a PGCE in English (Literacy and ESOL) with distinction in both theory and practice. I am available to teach GCSE, AS/A2, English to Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) and Functional Skills.

I have worked as a Visiting Lecturer for BPP Law College in Manchester and Liverpool. I am also a Part Time Tutor at The Manchester College. having worked as a freelance marker I have a good understanding of what students need to do to pass their exams. I have taught many law topics from AS/A2 level up to post graduate level.
I have taught English Language GCSE to learners with additional educational needs in a high school and functional skills and ESOL to groups. I have also taught pupils on a one to one basis.
I am an experienced seminar, small group and one to one tutor. My approach to teaching lends itself well to personal tuition. I am good at simplifying difficult concepts and putting them into a relevant, everyday context. I have a pragmatic approach to passing exams but also a wealth of motivating and stimulating resources and teaching methods to facilitate understanding and learning. I can provide dependable advice on exam technique together with skills training and interview practice. I am able to provide learners with the confidence and skills needed to operate effectively and independently both in life and in work.
