Information about Katherine
I am currently Head of Geography, a leading outstanding department in an outstanding comprehensive school. I am also an AQA A Level examiner. I have a MSc in Meteorology and Applied Climatology and a BSc in Geography and Geology from the University of Birmingham. Prior to teaching I worked as a hydrologist for the Environment Agency. I have experience of previous tutoring on a one to one basis, and for small groups of students. I have been teaching for 10 years and leading the department for 8 years. I have gained Centre of Excellence status and Secondary Geography Quailty Mark for my department from the Geographical Association. I have vast experience of teaching 11-19 Geography and have helped develop Primary School Geography Teaching at a number of schools.
