I qualified as a mathematics teacher in 2013. After graduation I moved to teach on a permanent full time basis in Manchester. Here I gained teaching experience and quickly progressed to Head of the Mathematics Department. I returned home in 2018 and now teach in the primary sector.
I have successfully privately tutored for almost 10 years and I am an Edexcel GCSE Higher mathematics examiner.
With experience as Head of the Mathematics Department, a qualified mathematics teacher, and successful tutor I know how to help students achieve their desired grade in mathematics.
I have always enjoyed helping others reach their full potential in this subject. I am extremely dedicated to my students and understand that each individual has a unique way of learning. Although I am passionate about this subject I recognise that others can be apprehensive when faced with the challenges of mathematics. Within my role I help to build confidence in others and find it really rewarding when they start to enjoy the subject too, while recognising their subject knowledge is growing as they complete mathematical problems.
I have worked with a range of students, abilities and learning styles. Moreover, I have secure knowledge of the mathematics GCSE specification and look forward to working with you, helping you achieve your full potential and obtaining the grade you deserve!

Experience: I obtained a 2:1 BEd in Mathematics (Post-Primary) in 2013. After graduation I taught in Manchester for five years as a secondary mathematics teacher and achieved the whole school role of Able & Talented Co-ordinator. I subsequently secured the role as the Head of the Mathematics Department for two years with much success until I returned home.
I am an Edexcel GCSE higher mathematics examiner.
In 2018 I returned home and now teach in the primary sector.
I have guided many students successfully through their GCSE mathematics in lessons and via 1-1, online or small group tuition. My knowledge of the subject is strong and I have full understanding of the foundation and higher GCSE specifications and assessments.
