I am a second year Economics student at the University of Durham. I achieved 4 A*s at A-Level in maths, further maths, chemistry and physics and all A*s in GCSE, so specialise in the teaching of maths and sciences. I would describe my teaching style as focussing on the core understanding of a subject. Through my own experience, having recently gone through these exams, I know that rather than by memorising examples, developing an understanding lends to faster speed, accuracy and flexibility if different questions come up. Additionally, this combined with the practice of a wide range of questions reinforces this. Having gone through these exams semi-recently, I understand how they are marked, the details of the content and how to get those extra marks through exam technique.

Experience: I have had some experience doing personal tutoring from a total of 3 students, two which were GCSE and one was an A-Level student. Additionally, I have had experience teaching classical guitar. Overall, I understand what it demands to be a tutor and how to make the most out of your time.
