Information about Amber
A qualified English language and literature lecturer and examiner with over fifteen years of experience in education. Patient, empathetic and passionate about my subject. I tutor all secondary school levels, GCSE, A Level and degree level.
Availability: My availability is mostly on Saturdays at present but I have a few weekday slots available.
Please note that I do not offer free taster sessions.

Experience: I have taught English Language and Literature, ESOL and Literacy, from secondary to adult education. I qualified with a PGCE in Further, Higher and Adult Education in 2002. I also gained a Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages in 2012. I have a BA Hons and an MA in English Studies and have been an examiner in English GCSE, AS and A Level since 2006 and a Team Leader for a team of examiners in 2019. I am currently studying for my PhD in English Literature.

I approached Amber to help my daughter with her iGCSE in Eng Lit in Year 11. My daughter`s predicted grade was a 6. She passed with a 9 in the exams! We are indeed very grateful to Amber for all her help. Thank you!

Amber is extremely professional, knowledgeable and helpful. She has a very patient, calm, reassuring way of tutoring.
