Hello, I am a 50 year old father living in Knutsford with my ten year old daughter.
I have worked as a private tutor for the last seven years and also worked within a local high school providing one-one tuition to GCSE students.
Prior to embarking upon my career in education, I worked in IT and Software sales for 20 years at a variety of large corporate businesses such as Fujitsu and Dell.
My previous experience includes running my own web design business, sales of systems optimization and data management software to large commercial and government organisations, as well as programming and electronics.
Hobbies include cooking, magic, robotics and designing computer driven gadgets with my many Raspberry Pi computers :-)
Availability: Weekdays & weekends, daytime & evenings.
Willing to travel: 15 miles
Experience: I have experience of teaching Maths, IT, Computer Science, Systems, Programming & Electronics at all levels and I enjoy making learning fun.
I currently tutor across a wide range of ages and abilities from children aged 8 - 18 years old, to teachers and education professionals seeking to expand their specialist subject knowledge.
I also have experience of teaching students with autism and Asperger syndrome which I have found to be especially rewarding.
As well as one to one personal tutoring, I have recent experience as a specialist intervention teacher within a local Academy School environment, teaching both one-one and also classes of up to 20 pupils.
I have extensive experience of work-based tutoring in all aspects of IT and business.
I have many years experience in programming & systems such as Windows, Linux, Web Design, Python, Scratch, and a variety of programming languages.

Had 5 lessons with my son over the summer holidays to bring him up to speed with computer science. Seems to of worked as he has been accepted onto the second year of the course even though he missed the first year. Would recommened him

Adam was fantastic in his style and approach to helping my son through his A Level computer science project - he gained more knowledge from Adam than he had got from his school in the previous 2 years - I wouldn`t hesitate to recommend, worth every penny - an outstanding tutor!

Adam is teaching my 16 year old daughter GCSE Maths. Tilly has always struggled with this subject and so had started to get upset and frustrated with her exams coming closer. Adam has boosted Tilly’s confidence and has helped her understanding of this subject. Adam has a great way of explaining and solving problems and putting Tilly at ease. We would recommend Adam to anyone.
