I am a 54 year old, experienced primary school teacher who thoroughly enjoys making the difference to the education of young children and I find one-to-one teaching particularly rewarding.
As a Year 6 teacher, I am very experienced in preparing Year 5 and Year 6 children for their SATs and consider this to be my primary focus, having taught Y5 for 7 years and Y6 for 8 years. I teach at a school current considered `Outstanding` by OFSTED and am proud of our impressive SATs results over my time in Year 6.
Outside of school, I have a wife and two children, and when I`m not working, I love being outdoors, either running, cycling, hiking or simply being in the garden.

Experience: I have been teaching KS2 children for a total of 18 years: initially Year 3/4 children, followed by 7 years in Year 5, with my last 8 years teaching Year 6 children and preparing them for the KS2 SATs tests.
