I am a kind, caring and passionate person.

I have completed an English degree in Language and Literature with Newman University, and achieved a 2.2.

I have 17 years experience in education and currently teach in a secondary school. I am also an examiner for AQA exam board and will share information of the mark-scheme with my students to enable them to understand what is expected of them, and how to achieve the grade they want.

My experience means I have an excellent understanding of the GCSE Specifications and how to reach a student’s best potential.
I teach, and support, a wide range of abilities incorporating developing skills from lower to higher grades. I believe in our younger generation and support them not only academically, but emotionally also. Exam pressure can be extremely daunting for some.
I have a wide range of resources which I will share and use with the students whom I tutor.

9 years as a Teaching Assistant- mainly working in English and English Literature.
Taken extraction groups to improve grades- which is similar to tutoring.
Fully qualified Teacher of English.
