Information about Katharine

I am a Cambridge graduate currently studying the History of Design at the Royal College of Art and the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. For my Undergraduate Degree at the University of Cambridge. I studied Archaeology and Anthropology, with course elements/papers covering Biology/Human Evolution, History, History of Art, Literature, Politics and Sociology.

Having very recently completed 7 years of exams and study in school/university, I have refined my techniques for getting the best possible grades that I would love to share with up and coming ambitious students. I can offer my advice on how to get into Oxbridge, how to get 100% in your A-Levels as well simple exam techniques for getting A stars at GCSE-Level.

I am a very keen learner and my style of teaching is to encourage independent thought. My age works at an advantage because I know how to make sometimes impenetrable, dry subjects taught in the classroom both fresh and interesting.

I am willing to teach a variety of subjects across Arts and Humanities at A-Level or beyond. I can also tutor in Ancient History if required. I also have an AS-Level in English Literature.

At GCSE-Level I have qualifications in Maths, Chemistry, Physics and Biology so I would be willing to teach these subjects to students looking for a teacher that covers multiple disciplines.

Availability: Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays - after 7pm
Weekends - all hours

Willing to travel: 20 miles

Experience: As part of my Cambridge degree I regularly led seminars and group discussions. These hour-long discussions would take place every two weeks. This involved presenting research projects to groups of around 20 and engaging them in discussion.

For six weeks in 2011 I taught an English language programme to school-children in Laos.

At school in 2009 I was also part of a mentoring scheme and helped host lessons to Year 5 children (covering English, Science, Maths).
