I tutor GCSE English Language and English Literature. I am a qualified teacher with a first class degree in English Language and Literature and a PGCE in Secondary English Teaching, with Qualified Teacher Status. I have eleven years classroom experience in Secondary schools.

During tutor sessions, I aim to compliment school lessons in a way that is focussed on examination techniques and skill building. As an experienced examiner, I can help students who are aiming to achieve the highest grades and also those aspiring to a gain a proficient pass.

I also offer online sessions for study of key GCSE texts and language. This is particularly useful for students wishing to explore additional and alternative interpretations of prose and poetry. This kind of exploration is key in securing higher grades, and often cannot be accommodated in depth within school lesson allocations. It is also useful for any students to consolidate their working knowledge of the texts- an essential for closed book examinations.

I am available for tutor bookings weekdays and weekends. I also take bookings throughout school holidays.
