I completed my PhD in Applied Linguistics at the University of Kent, where I became interested and started my research career in the area of second and foreign language studies.

I am polyglot - I speak Spanish (mother tongue), English, German, Portuguese, Catalan, and French. I love learning foreign languages and teaching them as well. As an experienced teacher (and language learner myself) I know what works and what doesn`t. I customise my lessons according to the learner`s interests and abilities. Motivation is KEY to language learning, and so I always strive to create a stimulating learning environment and engage students using multimedia materials.

Experience: I have taught at both primary and secondary levels in Spain, Portugal, and England. I have experience teaching at the university level in Germany (University of Bremen), and England (Canterbury Christ
Church University and University of Kent). I have taught Spanish as a foreign language as well as English and linguistics. I have also worked as a Spanish, English, and German private tutor. I hold a BA in English Language and Literature (University of Oviedo and University of Cologne), a Postgraduate in Higher Education (University of Kent), and a Master`s degree in Applied Linguistics and Second Language Acquisition from the University of Barcelona. I am now a postdoc student at UNED.
